Wilderness School is a single gender school of 800 students located in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia.

The Michell Music Centre combines the junior school multi- purpose learning area with the music centre to allow the music curriculum to be delivered to the entire school. The centre also provides the opportunity to introduce dance on site as a subject within the curriculum.

The material selections for the project are based on constructability, budget and longevity in conjunction with the critical focus on the acoustic performance of each space.
