Micro-X is a high-tech manufacturing facility located within the broader Tonsley Innovation Precinct.

Nestled beneath the refurbished frame of the former Mitsubishi car plant Main Assembly Building, the language of the facility is intentionally industrial, informed by the encompassing setting.

The built form exists to meet both the specific requirements of Micro-X and to utilise a program that is adaptable for expansion and future tenant change.

The building comprises eight pods developed for the project by KNCT and a purpose made manufacturing facility composed of a simple steel frame clad with metal encased PIR panelling.

The result is cost effective and flexible, meeting all the tenant and RenewalSA’s expectations.
