Caritas College is a co-education school of 500 students located in Port Augusta, South Australia.

St Mary’s shelter is the result of redeveloping an underutilised portion of the college site into a multipurpose outdoor covered learning area. The shelter hosts events such as structured sports, community activities and student performances, held both day and night.

The built form and building fabric are informed by the selection of construction techniques and materials to reduce onsite work.
